Cordilleran Exploration Roundup '99

Technical Program: There were a number of references to the use of PIMA™ in exploration and drilling programs, among which are the following.

PIMA was used to analyze drill core at the La Manchuria project located in the Patagonia region of southern Argentina This deposit is owned by Abacus.

PIMA has also been used extensively to map alteration and for grade control at Veladero, Argentina. The Veladero Gold-Silver exploration project lies in western Argentina, in San Juan Province. Resources are close to 4 million ounces. This location, near the border with Chile, corresponds geologically with the Argentine flank of the El Indio Belt. This deposit is owned by Homestake and Barrick.

Eldorado Gold's WT/Efemçukuru Project is an epithermal vein deposit located in western Turkey, approximately 40 kilometers from the coastal city of Izmir. Gold and base-metal mineralization at the WT/Efemçukuru project are hosted in a structurally controlled north to northwest trending low sulfidation-type epithermal vein, which crosscuts hornfels and phyllites.
