Training is offered in PIMA operations, applications, software and in the basic methodology of Reflectance Spectroscopy.
The training program includes Data Collection Procedures, Core Analysis, SpecWin, the plot and display program for PIMA and other spectrometer data, Mineral Identification techniques using SPECMIN, Search Match Tables, and the user interactive program FeatureSearch, plus other SII programs.
An understanding of Applied Reflectance Spectroscopy is also taught with theory, applications and detailed case studies in alteration systems of most interest to the client. Choices range through high and low sulfidation gold systems, porphyry copper, kimberlites, Witwatersrand, disseminated gold, greenstone and tropical weathering terraines.
Spectral International has successfully trained the majority of PIMA users.
